I had the same problem and it was the pick-up roller that was at fault. You can buy a new one for less than 20GBP or do what I did. Take the old one out and reverse the rubber. Most likely this error is caused by using a remanufactured cartridge. If it is a new, genuine HP cartridge, you can return it to the dealer for a new one.

This is a problem with the toner cartridge, check the code at the end of the error message and that will tell you which toner is defective.
