Hi,

First thing you need to do is to check if your fan is working properly and while you're checking the make sure to clean it and that it's spinning freely,
Some times when your tv is 4 or 5 years old the BALLAST witch is the small circuit board in charged of regulating the correct amount of current to your lamp is to weak and malfunctioning it will start your lamp but after a few minutes will just go off. You can find more information on http://www.fixyourdlp.com/?click=52978 and also they have helpful videos

wish you good luck

I have a Benq w710st DLP projector and when i turn the power on after a minute it turns off. The power button turns off and both the lamp and temp lights turn red. How do I fix this and can I do it my

Like a previous post I too had the same issue with my Benq MW516 - after a 15 minutes working the light would turn off and the TEMP and LAMP lights come on red and would not turn off until the unit was turned off. I found the problem was a very dusty cooling fan for the light bulb and after using compressed air (do NOT let any fan spin up - this can damage the fan, hold it and rotate slowly after unplugging it from the logic board first). Once I dusted out the entire projector it is back to running just fine.

Samsung dlp tv turns on works fine but after 15 minutes turns itself back off

This happens due to increasing heat in tv, check exhaust fan is running and throwing hot air out of tv, check temp sensor is working fine mounted on lamp housing.
When did you replaced lamp last time in tv?
A weak lamp also does same problem.

Samsung DLP turns on and off - cycle repeats

make sure put the lamp door back before trying to turn it on because they have switches on them that allow the tv to turn on. If that is ok you probably have a bad ballast.
Call a local tv repair shop to further diagnose the problem.

I own a Samsung HL-R5067W 50'' DLP. Set is about 3 years old. Recently I heard a loud pop while viewing, picture distorted, but never went blank. I turned set off. When turned on again a loud whining noise...

Check your color wheel. There is a DIY guide for replacing the color wheel. Mine did the same thing yours is and my color wheel was all busted up. Unfortunately after replacing the color wheel my set continues to do the same thing, but this could mean I need to replace the ballast as well.

Samsung DLP TV time, temp and lamp lights blinking... won't turn

Les,
I'm not a TV repair guy but my owners manual states that when all three LED's or lights on the front of the TV are flashing, that the lamp needs to be replaced. Might want to look into this. Good luck!
