I have downloaded it and ran it. i will not have time to reboot my computer for about 2 hours. I will post the result at that time. But I am hopeful that it worked.

roxio media manager is something that Blackberry offers and puts on their desktop manager disk. I did not show up as an application in the Add/Remove application area. It did show up as a service under the Device Manager. the install cleanup did not resolve the matter. Once I found the source of Roxio i placed the Blackberry desktop install disk in and just let it complete its install. this is now closed.

You must have Roxio on your computer as a loading program.
The best thing to do is, remove Roxio from your computer by either add or remove programs or look for a un-install under programs, Roxio.
If you are using VISTA, you will have to type msconfig, under start search, then choose continue, Next choose Tools,
Then choose add or remove programs and Launch.
Look for and remove Roxio and restart unit.
If you want to reload Roxio afterwords, allow the unit to fully boot and after completed, reload.

In answer to your reply, I hope that you have completely removed to program before reloading, as it will continue to give you the same error if you have not.

My philips mp3 4 gb player froze up while trying to download music I have tried the reset button and it still goes to the froze up spot

Visit the philips website and found your product. Download the device manager program and install it to your computer. Run the program, keep pressing the 'return' button and put into the pc's usb. Keep pressing, the device manager program will find the device and then you can solve the problem by the program.

Can't load my burner

Hello,

The CD Burner drive is compatible with your Windows XP the software version is where the problem is. You need to get an updated version of the burner program, something like Nero burning ROM or Roxie EZ CD creator.

If you have deleted the program from your computer, you should be able to plug the Coby player (TURNED OFF) to the computer and re-install it.

If Coby Manager program is no longer on the Coby player (If you re-formatted the player), you can get a copy of the MANAGER here:

CobyMedia Manager fix for MP822 (Windows XP/2000/Vista)

Don't let it throw you that it says it's for the MP822 - it also works great for the MP610

1. Install Coby Media Manager from download

2. Open Media Manager

3. Plug your COBY player (THAT IS TURNED OFF) into the USB port - it will show up in the "DEVICE" tab

Roxio Media Manager continues to try to install

Hello,

After reading your problem I came across some interesting references about roxio and agent.exe.
Seems agent.exe is used by many programs to update themselves over the internet, and it was giving a lot of people headaches by using 70% or more of their CPU, like yourself.

So, I wanted to send you a few quick thoughts on how to hopefully fix your situation.

First, there were complaints about stuff trying to install itself on and on, and it was because there were command lines in the STARTUP MENU calling upon them to install every time windows starts.

So to try to fix this if its happening in your case........
Go to start>run>and type in msconfig and click ok.
Now click startup and uncheck these items.

issch
ISUSPM
'ISUSPM Start Up'
'ISUSSCheduler'
Adobe Reader Speed Launcher
Quick Time Task
Igfxtray
HotKeysCmds
MSMSGS
WMPNFCSG
COMMUNICATOR
PERSISTENCE (igfxpers)
DLA

Then click apply, then ok and restart your computer.
When windows starts, you will see a window saying that changes were made to the configuration utility. When you see it, click on the little white box saying not to show this any more.
And if you really miss not having something you unchecked, you can always go back there and recheck it!

Maybe now you will have the chance to purge all things Roxio from your system.
Best of luck!!

Maxell cd-r 700mb- where have my pictures gone??!

use cdr's and allow multisession in your settings. Get rid of roxio and use nero 7.5 or above. Roxio tries to format cd-rws all the time if you have all features installed. bakup program keeps wanting to format cdrw. so use cdr's instead..Use the data disk option. That will copy your pics fine.

There is a program that came with the installation Cd called Philips Device Manager. You can download it from www.usasupport.philips.com if you lost the CD. Use the Philips Device Manager to repair the player. If the device manager will not repair the player, then try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
