Hit the INSERT button ONE time. It lets you write inbetween what is already there. If you hit the INSERT button AGAIN, that is when you write over text already there.

Hope this helps.

Testimonial: "thanks it helped alot i should have ben able to figure that out... i just completely spaced"

When i type a sentence and make a mistake and want to add a new word into my sentence the space bar and any keys i touch type over my existing print. how do i correct this.

You need to toggle your overwrite/insert setting.
All you have to do is hit the "Insert" button on your keyboard. Hitting it once will set your type settings so that new text will be inserted instead of overwriting existing text. Hitting it again will toggle it back.

I cant see the text that i sent to my friend or receive any text that my friend sent to me. please let me know how to settle this? regards clement

The first thing to check is to make sure you have scripting enabled in Internet Explorer. Internet Explorer is integrated into Yahoo Messenger so things that go wrong with IE can affect Yahoo Messenger. Here is the yahoo help page about that: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messeng...

2) In the Start Menu click on Run. Type, without the quotes, "regsvr32 jscript.dll" and then click OK. Next, repeat the process but this time type in the Run box "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" and click OK. Please note, if you are using Windows Vista temporarily disable the User Account Control (UAC). You can easily turn it back on. On the Control Panel (Category View) choose User Accounts and Family Safety, next choose User Accounts, and then click Turn User Account Control on or off.

3) If the above does not fix your problem and you are using Windows XP, you can update your Windows Script to version 5.7. In my experience helping others, this is the step that has helped the most people. Exit all browser windows and chat programs including Yahoo Messenger before installing. run registry cleaner reginout cleaner to easily fix it

How do I make my font and text size bigger?

If you want to make font and text larger in a Word document, just look at the taskbar and click font pull-down window (usually the default is Times Roman) and pick whatever font you want, then click the pull-down window (usually the default is 12) and pick a larger size.
Or you need to make a display adjustment. Click Start, Click Control Panel, Click Personalization, click Display Settings, choose Resolution up or down which will adjust icon and font size on your computer.
Or click start, Control Panel, Personalization then:
  • In the left pane, click Adjust font size (DPI). If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • In the DPI Scaling dialog box, do one of the following:

    • To increase the size of text and other items on the screen, click Larger scale (120 DPI)-make text more readable, and then click OK.

    • To decrease the size of text and other items on the screen, click Default scale (96 DPI)-fit more information, and then click OK.

To see the changes, close all of your programs, and then restart Windows.

Hi currently living back at folks and have an annoying brother who keeps using my computers and game consoles he just broke 1tb harddrive and lost all data so i need to password protect everything is there...

To put a password on your Wii,
    Go to wii Options>Wii Settings
push the + button, and click parental Controls
Click yes and make a 4 digit pin number that's easy for you to remember, but nothing that someone could easily guess. (like the year you 1st joined a team or something) push OK, enter it again and push ok.
Choose a secret question, like what they ask you to choose when you start a new account somewhere (mother's maiden name, your place of birth, etc.) push ok and type in the answer to that question and push ok.
click "game settings and PIN" and (finally) to block one from playing games, change the "highest game rating allowed" option to something low (preferably early childhood so one wont be able to play ANY games without your permission) by pushing the down icon. hit ok, confirm, and "settings complete".

when you go to play a game, it will ask for the PIN everytime, which will eventually be a pain in the neck, but at least you'll know your games are safe

    SUMP error in Windows Vista

    Hi,

Try to increase the size of Event Logs files.

Open up Event Viewer by typing in eventvwr into the Start \ Run box, or you can find it under Administrative tools section of Control Panel.
You’ll notice over on the right-hand side of the window that the current size of my Application and System Event Logs are 512 KB…

Now you can right-click on one of the Event Logs in the list, and choose Properties from the menu.

In this dialog you can do a number of things… you could clear the log, increase the size, or just set the system to overwrite events as needed

chose to increase the maximum size of the event log, and then also to overwrite events as needed

For those of you using Windows Vista, you’ll notice that the default settings in Vista are to overwrite as needed, and the maximum size is way bigger. Guess my setting choices make sense then…
