I have an acer travelmate 8210 and upon start up i have large red stripes on the screen and windows will not install, then the screen goes blank and wierd music starts to play?

plug into an external monitor and boot up again. Do you see anything on the external monitor? do you see hard disk light? power light? post back what you find.
Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box.
In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt or Cmd, and then click Run as Administrator on the pop up contextual menu.
If you are prompted by User Account Control for permission, click Continue.
At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
powercfg.exe -h off
Type exit, and then press ENTER.

Click Start, click Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, and then click Power Options. click the Hibernate tab and unckeck the box and turnoff monitor should be never
i have faced the same problem before 2 days ago......now i solved that one....i load my pc in safe mode....i adjust the screen resolution.....and i removed lastly i installed new software (it was typing master --- leave it this one).......after that i tried to connect acer laptop to sony projector (FN+F5) it's working properly.....try this.......please
Have you ran any spyware scans or antivirus scans? Check my (site) for this software. The Adaware 2007 is 2008 Link not 2007. Check the words files at the bottom of the page. I hope this helps. Spyware can do crazy things.
