RapidShare is dead.
I used this link today 7-24-2012 and it worked like a charm.

A huge THANK YOU to the person who did the work that Epson
should be doing.
Without the scanner turned on, I downloaded the file, unziped it
and extracted the files. I then ran the .exe
After that I turned on the scanner and let Win 7 install the device.
Simple as pie.
Windows 7 drivers for the Epson Perfection 1200U may be found at the following:

Have
tested with own 1200U on Windows 7 64-bit. Works properly. It is based
on the drivers for the Epson 2400. Minor changes to the .inf file allow
it to work. Note that the Start button on the scanner also works. The
software is somewhat different than the original. Another option is to
buy software that enables the scanner.
It's your lucky day!
I remember looking for hours for a driver for my Epson 1200 scanner back when I upgraded by dad to Vista 64 Bit, eventually I found one. Just today I upgraded him to Windows 7 64 bit and remembered I couldn't get it to work, luckily I was able to dig up the driver I used for Vista 64. Worked great in Windows 7.
I can't remember where I found it so I can't credit the person who made the driver unfortunately, however i've uploaded it to Rapidshare for you to download. Here is the link:

Just open up the zip file and run the setup. :)
Hope this helps, Merry Christmas!

The scanner is too old for epson to make a new driver. Its not cost effective.
