Canon A95 Some Pictures have a purple tint to them. Pictures sometimes look normal but you can see the screen flashing continuosly. Also there are flashing horizontal lines. Is this a CCD imaging problem.

It is known problem of ccd imager chip failure in canon A95 camera. CCD imager chip will be replaced to fix this issue.

There more than likely a problem with the ccd, and Canon will fix it for free paying for both ways to and from the repair facility.
