Could be the steering rack is worn out. But there is some adjustment I believe.

But before you try to adjust the rack, make sure the tierod ends are not loose, there is no play in and out on the steering shaft, and there is plenty of power steering fluid.

Hi! I personaly have win 7 and NFS Shift installed, and i play it often, and i don't have any problems. It is not cause of win 7, it's cause you changed OS, but didn't reinstall the game. If you do that, some files are dislocated, and you are not able to play the game. You should reinstall the game, it will help. If you don't want to play the game all over again from the beggining, do this: Go to C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\NFS SHIFT. in that folder, there is another folder that has the same name that you have in the game. Copy that folder. Copy it to your desktop. Then reinstall the game, go again to the C:\Users\(your username)\Documents\NFS SHIFT and paste the folder (folder that you copyed in the first step) into this folder. Restart your computer, and launch the game! You won't have trouble with the game, and your progress will be untouched!
