Error Messages. We have downloaded the software on to our HP PC and have been working for a month trying to get our computer to download our movies. There are two specific error messages 1) "Cannot copy MOV013: Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name." and 2) Cannot copy MOV013: the parameter is incorrect. and 3) Cannot copy MOV013: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error. This is so frustrating and we would just take the camera back but we have a few little movies on there that we don't really want to loose. Please help! Calling JVC did nothing to help us.

Hi, did you try downloading your videos through the included software? It should work best using the included PowerCinema NE for Everio. If you are using windows Vista, then you need to download a patch. Here is the link: http://www2.cli.co.jp/products/ne/update_everioM7SD/pcm4e_update.htm
Make sure you have PowerCinema NE for Everio installed before applying the patch. After this, follow a few simple steps. Turn off your camcorder. Connect the USB cable to the computer then to the camcorder. Then, turn it on. The software should load automatically, and using that you should be able to download the files. You might need administrator rights for this.

Hope this helps,
Eric

Bubaratzi - not sure if this will help, but I got mine to work (download) with the following steps:

1) with the power off on the camera, connect it with your USB cable to your PC
2) turn the power on on the camera
3) open the LCD screen
4) open the lens cover (yes, this matters :)
5) press the menu button and select "connect to device"
At that point, my PC recognized the camera as an external hard drive and I was able to copy & paste my movie files from the camera to my PC. I did *not* use the JVC Everio software for this.

Try updating the drivers to your web cam device. If that does not work out try finding more information, if you find error numbers or error messages you can identify the problem a little better. If you are using the software that came pre-installed for the web cam you can also try to download a different program that is integrated for all different webcams, such as ManyCam.
