The map you have loaded in you TomTom Go 520 was not indented to be used with this device or you have not acquired the right to use it with the device. Check with the place whence you got it.
no they are not free, average cost about $80.00, u can buy the cd (avail through retail outlets that sell this GPS) and do a update with that or u can buy the updates from Tomtom directly at there web site
Puerto Rico is included with the latest 'USA' or 'USA & CANADA' or 'USA & Mexico' TomTom maps. Depending on what map came originally with your unit, you can download the required USA map either for free or for a fee via 'TomTom Home' while connected to the internet. Alternatively, you can get it from a retail shop or from Tomtom directly on a DVD. It is a new Map, it will need to be registred to your device: you cannot just simply copy the maps from somebody else ... WARNING: unless your unit came with a SD memory slot or came with 1GB of internal memory, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE those rather large maps! For instance, Tomtom One V3 in Australia only come with 512K and NO SD memory slot! Hope this information is useful: let me know how you go!
Call the manufacture at this point or purchase the maps. there is no trick around this that is legal if you go illegal with the maps you can wind up getting a virus on this system and virtually distroy the unit.
The reason the 125 is cheaper is because it only has the US map on it. Each map contains an activation file that prevents it from being used on different devices, so its doubtful that the other map will work for you. You can purchase the latest Canada/Alaska map from TomTom's site for $59.95.
Go to http://www.tomtom.com/products/maps/
Select your device as the ONE 130 (since they don't have 125 on the site) and choose the Canada/Alaska map.
You have the option of unchecking items you don't want installed and updated every time you connect to TomTom Home. Reset the entire unit and update again to fix the error
well, then there is only one way, that definetly works, ttsystem patcher, if tomtom company doesn;t want to help, we can do it our self ;) there are lots of warez about ir ;) in www.twingine.com ;)
