click the new button at the top like you are going to start making a new e-mail. you will see a "Rick Text" link that is on the right side of your screen across from the "attach files" button. click that and everything will come back that your missing. once that is back just click the icon that looks like abc with a check near it. that will enable the spell check.

don't give up on yahoo to soon.
The logon procedure was changed slightly to improve security.
Log on to yahoo:
http://www.yahoo.com/
When you get the message about running ActiveX click on it run it, you want to be able to logon and yahoo is a trusted website.
A windows should come up asking you to set up security questions and answers.
After you have done this, you will be taken to your yahoo home.
