Virgin Mobile phones contain Propriatory software. This means that Virgin mobile SIM cards will only work in Virgin Mobile phones. If your Samsung GTE 1080i was not sold by Virgin Mobile your Virgin mobile SIM card will not work in it.

what do you see in your screen when you switch it ON?

There are non, the codes have not changed.
Virgin has now switched to nagravision 3 encryption.
All eurovox/starview boxes can now only receive SOME free to air programs.
If you rescan, all the programs are picked up, but all the encrypted channels are blocked.
There is no fix yet, and there will probably be NO fix for your box, or any box without an ethernet connection.

The only way is to get someone you know to chip your box to keep codes in but it only works so long.

hope this helps... unplug the box or switch power off then switch back on but hold the on/off button as its powering up until you see the word stop on front of box then it should work ok ..hope this helps

Its a problem with the power supply, if its a legit box, phone virgin media they will swap it for you..
If its not a legit box, phone who ever you got it of, they should sort it out for you from spares they have.

what you have to do is ring virgin and ask then to send the code.
this code is done stight to your set top box
