AT&T 974 Caller ID has quit.

We had a power outage and after that the Caller ID no longer works on my AT&T 974. All the other 974's are fine. The batteries held all the contacts and settings, but no caller id. Is there a setting to change or is the caller id toast?

Same thing happened to me. Here's what I did: 1) Unplug phone. 2) Remove backup battery. 3) Wait at least 5 minutes. 4) Plug phone back in and insert battery.

Step 3 is important. I only waited about a minute the first time and the problem remained.

Seimens Gigaset AL285 BSNL caller ID not working

The source of my caller ID not displaying was a faulty ADSL filter.
For some reason my ADSL filter blocked the caller id information - but worked fine otherwise.
When I changed the filter the caller ID worked fine again.

I have a panasonic kx ta824 system with caller id. Caller id works fine on lines 2 & 3, but no longer works on line 1. This is a new problem after 3 years of it working properly. I checked the...

Hard to say. So, go to the cabinet and swap the connections between line 1 and line 2. If the CID still comes in on line 2 and not 1, then it's hardware or programming. If it doesn't come in on 2, then it's a telco issue. Since you checked programming, it would only leave hardware. The 82493 card plugs into a slot on the main board.

Check the battery on all the phones then make sure they are all programmed with different extension numbers. If the battery has been dead and you have had a power outage then it may have reset the phone to factory default extension 11.

Caller-id quit working

I have the same problem with my unit. Emerson customer service made some suggestions, including pulling the 9V battery, disconnecting the phone from phone and power for 3 hours, etc. Their first suggestion (earlier this morning) was to Push "Up" button and hold for 4 seconds, then pressing the "delete" button three times and re-pressing the "Up" button for 6 seconds. That procedure failed. I'm in the midst of the 3 hour wait after full disconnect of phone line and 120V plug. I don't think my phone will come back. I'll be happy if it does. Good luck with yours...Richard
