No green lite blink. fuse is ok, cp 150, cp 120, cp114, replaced..power cord ok . wher to begin..??
If youre not getting a power light then its most likely the AC main filter board ( Where power cords plugs into ) or if you do get a power light the deflection board needs replacement.
The ITC222 Chassis has a 19 error code which means Invalid chassis Code 59 is IR001 is not fitted, and Code 95 is IRoo1 err-12C Port driver can not be installed. I have worked on the ITC222 Chassis almost exclusively since they were first introduced, And if you hold the power button down long enough you will get 19 blinks. But thats not a diagnostic code. Without a chipper check II you cant retreve valid codes. The way to trouble shoot a ITC222 Or a ITC222A chassis is. If you dont get a power indicator light when you press power. Then trouble shoot the AC filter board. If the voltages are correct then its the deflection board which will require troubleshooting. The ITC222 chassis is very complex even for qualified TV repairmen without a Chipper Chgeck interface. I have givem advice based on my 30 plus years with RCA models. You asked where to begin and I responded. If you dont get a power light check the AC filter board first, If thats not the problem it has to be the deflection board causing the issue. No other boards will cause that symptoms.
Ok here is how I troubleshoot the ITC222 if the led doesnt light I check CP010 for 300VDC if thats missing I check F9400 to see if its blown. If it is then suspect that DP230 or CP230 as they may be shorted. If you get 300VDC at CP010 then check to see if the 3.3 V and the 5 volt stand by are present. Then let me know what you found and I will assist you to locate whats happening with your chassis.
Ok, do you have the schematics for the ITC222 Chassis? If not send me a email to [email protected] and I will send you the service manual with schematics and I also have the troubleshooter for the ITC222 dead set which is what I always use. which will help you to pinpoint the problem.
If Cl031 was burned, check the HOT as that will usually be shorted or open when the CL031 burns the solder joint. That cap can actually burn through the circuit board.
Check the HOT out of circuit see if its open or shorted. Do you hear a short chirp when power is pressed?
You have to remove from circuit then using the ohms meter check each two pin juntions twice by reverseing meter leads on any given two pins then recording the measurements. If there is continuity on any given two pins even after reverseing the meter leads the HOT is defective. same holds true if you get no continuity even after reverseeing meter leads the HOT is open and needs replacement. In theory a HOT is good if the center pin and either outside pin reads continuity in one direction then reverseing the leads on those same two pins there should be no continuity.
Did you check the HOT transistor out of circuit? If so then I would check the diodes and resistors that are one the same ciruit as CL031 as one of the diodes may be leaky or a resistor can also increase in resistance.

yes there is power to the board. plz i think there is more of a problem and plz dont added your answer unless you know what you are talking about ,, thank you
hey slinteriors :that was the most useless help yet!
ther is power to the power convertor board..
"the deflection board needs replacement " .. is that a conclusion without check all connection to the board?"
i of you dont mind please answer these questions ??
What is code 19? what is code 59? what is code 95?
i have researched and require these question answered.. from there i can conclude my own diagnostic..
dont be afriad to give a detail discription.. if this is not possible, please pass this request on to someone whom may know or has access to the infromatiom regarding codes..thks
now that more like it !!! I have great respect replies like that. checking code 59 IR0001, and code 95 IR001 cant do,,that a programming issue . without software . can't be done..my best guess that the service people whom look at this shorted the deflection board. i did find power terminal from ac board connected at the wrong termainalon the deflection board. this indicates the board was short by tecky because after he complete his work he said that board was shorted.. telling me that i need new board..couldnt fix because these borads are unavailable..
but thanks for your reply very good!
the ITC222, ac filter board as follows FP-400 is good, CP410 =160vdc..power is there just not 300volts . sorry but ther is no dp230 or ccp230 on this board or cp010 or f9400.
the front lite is blinking, 9 times then pause 5 times, recycles, it may blink times first then 9 times depends what i started counting. This blinking is definetly telling me something. i just dont have the resource to determine.
i answered your question and look forward to your assistance
ok run through the trouble shooting guide (dead set)you sent me..i replaced c150, c114.c120..replaced board. found burn through CL031 resoldered, tested the CAP seemed to be ok.. powered up...but power lite blinks once, pause, then 9 times. this indicates code 19, which may be the flyback control LL008..OK now What?

CL031 did burn solder joint through board. i resoldered it fixing the board. as i said i tested the CL031..seemed to be ok...however this does not answer code 19.. any other ideas??
when i depress the on button there is a short click sounds then button starts blinking,, if you want me to test HOT . tell where to measure?
pin reads continuity in one direction then reverseing the leads on those same two pins there should be no continuity. i checked all hot points from ac filter board.. so now what???
i did all the trouble shooting i gonna, .. guessing a fix is too time consuming.. i an sure rca thompson know how to fix, without all the BS..the tv has good blubs and its found a new owner call the recycler.. done
