About one third of websites will not load- instead I get Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): Unknown error I have pinged ok. I get the same thing with my AVG and spyware programs removed and when I try with no firewall on. Changing browsers does not change the problem. I have XP home and a one computer connection DSL.

Make sure your internet cable is connected properly, or if you are using a wifi connection, the computer is in range of the wifi

Dont worry no problem in your computer, this problem is usually from your internet connection, try checking your router or call you internet provider.

This is normally caused when Proxy Server setings have been changed or added.

Start Internet Explorer
Click [Tools]
Select Internet Options

Click the [Connection] Tab
Highlight the BTopenworld connection and click [Settings]

go to Start / Run / type in white box
ping www.google.com -t

do you get the response in the form of some digits with TTL=56, TTL=54 etc
if so network is OK
your browser settings /firewall settings are not correct....check and adjust
go to Tools menu in IE/internet options/Connections Tab/Set UP/Next/Chose Connect to the Internet/Setup my connection manually/chose settings as per your choice given to you by the service provider/Finish

your internet connection might be slow . . . try different internet connection or wait for a day or 2
