The bottom element on my Whirlpool Gold Self-cleaning Accubake system (purchased in 1999) is not working. What is wrong?

You need to have the stove looked at by a qualified appliance tech. The fact that the stove sparked and tripped the breaker indicates a short some where in the stove and it is very unsafe to use it. Leave the breaker off until you have the stove serviced.

sorry about your problem the only solution is to replace the electronic panel it is cheaper than getting it fix

Do a continuity test on lower bake element.

Because the features mention utilize 220 VAC power, I do not advise you attempt any corrections. Very dangerous; unless you are a trained technician. If the unit is in Warranty, get the Whirlpool folks out to you home ASAP.

OK, pull the temperature sensor probe out and check it for continuity. It should read 100 Ohms at room temperature. If you get any other reading, replace the probe. Here is the part to order.
