is this a laptop? what model? there are usually hot keys that you have to press on the keyboard to make it display to a secondary monitor. I.E. fn f6 or something of that nature. should be a picture of monitor next to f key.

You need to go to control panel/display/setting tab/Advanced/Monitor or Display tab and chose the correct output device in there....

Up on your F KEYS is a SYMBOL that looks like a small TV Monitor... HOLD DOWN THE FN (function) key and tap the F key with the monitor.

1. On one click the screen on the computer will go black and you will see the screen now on the TV,

2. On a second click the computer monitor will come back on, and you will also have the TV screen.

4. On a third click you will kill the TV display and end up where you started, with the display on the Computer Monitor only..

Kindly,

Jim

How do I get Amazon Fire TV resolution set so I get more than a blue screen?

Select the input channel for your Fire TV - Turn on your TV and select the input channel for the HDMI port you used to connect your Fire TV. You should then see a loading screen with the Amazon Fire TV logo 4.

Our screen turns blue and goes to new devices input. We have nothing else connected to tv except Brighthouse cable box. If we push the exit button on the tv remote it then goes to showing a cable box and...

Your TV probably has multiple "inputs" (coax, HDMI, component, et cetera). Use the "input" (or "source") button on your TV to cycle through all those available "input" streams.

If you select "coax", and there is *NO* coax cable connected to the back of the TV, you *WILL* see the "blue-screen". Select a different source that is "active".

Screen stays blue and wont show the picture

TV may be on the wrong input and that will give you a blue screen. When you turn the TV on and the screen starts lighting up it should show on the screen what input the tv is on. If it is not on correct input change input with the TV remote or buttons on the tv. If it is on the correct input try a power cycle on the cable box, just unplug the cable box power cord for a few seconds and then plug it back in. If neither of these solve the problem describe how the cable box is connected to the tv.

NO SIGNAL

look on the back of the TV and see which input you've connected a cable to. unplug the cable at the TV and then plug it back in and do the same thing at the other end of the cable, this is just to make sure cable is making a good connection. then put the TV on whatever input

When tv is turned on, screen shows white w/ blue logo, then shows "VGA" and "no signal" on a blue screen. After a minute it turns off. We cannot get a picture. We have a Time Warner...

Right now the TV is set to accept the video signal from PC through the VGA port so when it does not see the video signal from the VGA port, the TV will go into shutdown or standby mode. You need to change the input to be where the cable box is connected to using INPUT or SOURCE button on the remote.
What kind of connection are you using to make the connection between the TV and the cable box?
Please clarify. Make and model of the TV?

I plugged our wii into new tv. the screen shows a black and white picture. how do i fix it?

What to do will depend on how you're connecting your Wii console to your TV.

    • With the yellow, white, and red AV cables that came with your system:

      • Did you have to use the red/green/blue inputs on your TV because it doesn't have the standard (yellow) AV inputs... if this is your first time hooking up the Wii console or have you moved it to another TV, . Our experience shows that many times this issue can be solved by double-checking your connection and finding the correct Input Select for your TV or VCR.

    • With the blue, green, white, and red component cables (sold separately):

      • Review our step-by-step Wii Component Cable to make sure the cables are properly inserted and that your TV is set to the proper input.

If you have verified the connection is correct, and are still receiving a blank or black and white screen when powering on your Wii console, then the problem is likely with the system and it will need to be repaired. Please call 1-800-255-3700

How can I connect my pc to tv

The DV6000 has all the drivers needed to connect to a TV as long as the TV has either a s-video connection or a pc vga input. The vga input is usually blue in color on the tv but on the laptop it may appear dark tan or brown and does not have screws to hold it into place, the plug just fits in and tension holds it in place. Once you connect the cables, change the input on the TV to the type of cable you are using. The laptop should automatically pick up the signal from the device and load the driver for it. The desktop should appear on the tv if the output signal and input are matched. The icons may appear different on the TV if the resolution is not close to a match but that should not be a concern unless it is cutting some of the picture off, in that case all you have to do is change the resolution to one that is easier for the tv to show. The dv6000 allows you to toggle through the video output settings by holding down the Fn key and tapping the F4 key, this will change the display to both laptop lcd and tv, just tv, just laptop lcd etc. It will even let you extend the desktop from the laptop to the tv or from the tv to the laptop, making one long display side to side.

How to connect acer aspire mini laptop to digital lcd tv?

You get the audio from PC: you must use a separate audio cable to your TV audio input.
Configure your PC Display properties to a lower resolution until you reach a format your tv can display.
If you use a flat digital screen check the manual to know the resolution to be used with VGA input.
Use Dual screen option or swittch main screen/external/both using FN key + blue key showing screen on your keyboard. (F4 or F7? check manual.)
