Smeg SA9065xs, fan force oven elements P806890882. Does it matter which way 2 wires go. 1 Purple 1 red. Seem to be switched over on each element. 1 working 1 not. replaced with new but not working.

If it’s just 2 wires, it most likely doesn’t matter. Probably the relay on board that sends power to the non working element is bad.

Sounds like your control board is failing. I would suggest having it fixed before the damage becomes beyond repair. Many companies like to discontinue their parts in 3 years or less so if the control board becomes non-repairable you might be stuck buying a new oven. Therepairshack.com offers a repair service for whirlpool control boards. Do you have a model number? I can check to see if there is a replacement available also.

Viking oven buzzes all the time when not in use

the low voltage transformer on the ERC control is vibrating from not doing anything,when you put a load on this transformer it will quit,only fix is to possibly remove ERC and jam a piece of NON-Flammable/NON-electrical metal to keep it from vibrating and try this first,if this doesn't help,replace the noisy board with this transformer on it

HI, the reason for the non responsive control is being caused by a major fault within the control circuits. the entire control board will need to be replaced. it has failed at this point.

Replacing the Oven control board will solve this issue.

Keypad/clock went blank

Normally when a power surge lands a direct hit on a non protected circuit board, it will usually fry it completely. you can confirm this by shutting down the power for 5 minutes. if the control doesn't respond after the 5 minutes of no power, this will confirm circuit failure due to the surge and, you will need to replace the board in this case.
