Hi,

This is a known issue with the New version Yahoo Mail. As a workaround to this problem, you can switch to the older version of Yahoo Mail (Yahoo Mail Classic)

To switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic (Old Yahoo), on your Yahoo Mail page click the Options link in the upper right corner between Help and Mobile, then click the Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic link.

A dialog box might appear asking for feedback. If it does, click Switch to Yahoo! Mail Classic.

For more details, click on this link:

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

What email system do you use? (gmail, hotmail, aol, etc...)? I have had instances myself where a friend swears he attached a file, but he ended up finding out he didn't actually attach the file.

When receiving an email with attachment after downloading attachment it will not stay open

Right click the file and extract all, most likely if it has an attachment its a .zip file and it needs to be extracted to associate itself with the proper program. This is one of many solutions ,would need more details to tell you anymore such as operating system, email client, web browser, etc.If the file you are trying to open is a .pps file, for example, then you would need to download the power point viewer to view it,power point is not a default program on windows operating systems.Check and see what the extension is on the file eg.(such as).exe,.zip,.jpg,etc.ok hope this helps good luck

How can I attach files exceding the limit in the yahoomail, like how can I attach a one hour video?

Its not possible !! You will never be able to attach file with more than 4 mB size.

To overcome these restrictions there are file sharing services like rapidshare, hotfile, fileshare, filesonic etc. You can upload the file there (you originally want to attach ) after uploading the file you will get a link and then provide that link to the person and he/she can download the file using that link.

Thanks !!

How do i send a song i have on my computer on itunes to a friend through email?

Use a service that allows large file attachments- find the file on your pc, and in the email client (Outlook, on the web with GMAIL, Yahoo, etc-) click attach file. once you have attached the file to your email message, send it to your friend

Occasionally Yahoo Mail will not attach a file to an email I am sending, even after repeated attempts. I have no trouble with attachments to gmail.

Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.

Gmail allows much more room for attachments than Yahoo! If the file is large, it will more than likely not attach but with no explanation from yahoo! I would recommend using gmail for all of you attachments especially if they are larger in size (example, large picture, movie, etc.)

Please let me know if you have any questions.
