I replaced both cartriges bought at cartrige world. Screen on printer says: "Cartridge Error". I reinstalled both cartridges and still get "cartridge error". I don't have a owners manual, Help!
Good Day Sir, hope this will help you. print cartridge troubleshooting for hp officejet 4315 : 1. Remove the black print cartridge from the slot on the right. Do not touch the ink nozzles or the copper-colored contacts. check for possible damage to the copper-colored contacts or ink nozzles. 2. Reinsert the print cartridge by sliding it forward into the slot. Then push the print cartridge forward until it clicks into the socket. 3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the tri-color print cartridge on the left side. 4. If the problem persists, print a self-test report to determine if there is a problem with the print cartridges. 5. If the self test report shows a problem, clean the print cartridges. 6. If the problem persists, clean the copper-colored contacts of the print cartridges. 7. If you are still experiencing problems with printing, determine which print cartridge is experiencing the problem and replace it.

try to put off the cartridge and then turn off the printer. Rest it for 15 minutes, then turn it on put the cartridge back again. If still didn't work out if you have spare cartridges try replacing it. Okay...
Please clean the copper contacts of the cartridges with dry cloth and then check the expiry date and ink level present in the cartridges.
If the cartridges are expired or out of ink, replace the cartridges and check for the result.
If the cartridges are not expired and not out of ink then insert the cartridges and check for the results, if the issue persists recycle the printer and then reset the printer.
