Caller Id does not always show up

If the display never shows caller ID info, check with your phone service provider to be sure caller ID is active on your account. If the display sometimes shows only number instead of caller ID, write down the number. Then go to www.okcaller.com and search the number. Some business names will show up. Often you will at least find out what city & state the caller is from.

Caller ID
If you subscribe to caller ID service, information about each caller appears after the first or second ring. If you answer a call before the caller information appears on the screen, it will not be saved in the caller ID log. The caller ID log stores up to 50 entries. Each entry has up to 24 digits for the phone number and 15 characters for the name. If the telephone number has more that 15 digits, only the last 15 digits appear. If the name has more than 15 characters, only the first 15 characters are shown and saved in the caller ID log. Review a caller ID log entry Press CID when the phone is not in use. Scroll to browse through the caller ID log. When the desired entry appears: Press repeatedly to show different dialing options. Press 1 repeatedly if you need to add or remove 1 in front of the phone number. Press or to dial the displayed number. Delete a caller ID log entry When the desired caller ID log entry displays, press DELETE. Delete all caller ID log entries Press MENU when the phone is not in use. Scroll to Caller ID log and then press SELECT. Scroll to Delete all and then press SELECT twice.

If you subscribe to caller ID service, you can set the telephone to block unknown calls and certain undesired calls. The call block list stores up to 20 entries. Block unknown calls Press MENU when the phone is not in use. Scroll to Call block, and then press SELECT. Scroll to Calls w/o num, and then press SELECT. Scroll to choose Not block or Block, and then press SELECT. Add a call block list entry 1. Press MENU when the phone is not in use. 2. Scroll to Call block, and then press SELECT. 3. Scroll to Block list, and then press SELECT. 4. Scroll to Add new entry, and then press SELECT. 5. Enter the number. • Use the dialing keys to enter the number (up to 30 digits). 6. Press SELECT to move to the name. 7. Use the dialing keys to enter the name (up to 15 characters). Additional key presses show other characters of that particular key. 8. Delete a call block list entry When the desired call block list entry displays, press DELETE.

Caller ID blocking feature may be on go to Settings and then tap on Call on a android phone
From there, tap on Additional Settings and in there, tap on Caller ID
just set the Caller ID to show Number" and it will be unblocked

In some instances the caller might have caller-id blocked or a *67 manaul caller id block.

You are correct if you have a duplicate contact entry it does not show the name of the caller incoming.

I can help you with that, if you dial *67 and then the phone number, for example ( *67-715-392-0123 ) it should block your phone number from comeing up on caller id...........Hope this helps........

the phone is not equipped to handle caller ID

The caller has caller ID block placed on their acct/ this can interfere with sending sms messages to a phone that does not accept sms or voice calls from a line with caller id block/ I had cust resprond to a text with send new to area code plus 10 digit number/ success/ removed caller id block from service and had cust click *star 67 then area code plus 10 digit number/ if you choose to have your contacts entered with *82 area code plus 10 digit cell number you will get error 00107/ can not receive or respont to blocked calls particularly long distance/resolves iss/ I am a technical suport agent for sprint/ Happy Texting

try entering *82 then followed by the number u are calling, for example : the number ur whom to call is 123456789 then u'll enter *82123456789 try that and if that works. go to urprovider to have it unblocked coz u have a blocked phone caller id. and note ur phone number will be show if it is emergency call....
