I have a Necci 4795 and am using it to repair a canvas/sunbrella awning. I’m a novice at sewing, but very good mechanically.
When sewing I got into a seam and the foot moved up unexpectantly, momentarily compressing the tension adjustment spring. Now the needle refuses to pick up the bobbin thread. I have checked threading, bobbin, cleaned, and then lightly lubed the sewing hook.
Then reviewing some timing diagrams I found on line it appears the machines timing has changed because the needle eye is higher than the point of the point of the sewing hook Vs the top of the eye being just under the point of the hook, as it should be. By eye it appears the lower end of the needle eye is approximately one full needle eye length above the point of the sewing hook.
So do I adjust the Needle Bar or change the Sewing Hook timing.
