Try connecting the SANDISK to a different computer. It *should* fit.

Try connecting the SANDISK to a different USB port on your computer. It *should* fit.

I had the same problem. Try plugging the cruzer back into the last USB port it was in before it had the black piece with 4 holes. That piece belongs in the port. It should come out of the cruzer and you will have the correct open slot/red plastic configuration again.

My sandisk cruzer glide 128gb will not fit in my pc usb port. Why not?

Perhaps you are trying force the sandisk into the usb port backwards? Do a proper alignment and slid it into the USB port, make certain the small plastic portion within the cruzer is aligned with open slot on the pc USB port.
There is no way for this NOT to work?

When I put my memory stick pro duo (SanDisk) into the slot, it doesn't appear on my computer

if you are referring to a usb drive

click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers

if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports (com&lpt) right click update driver if this fails to fix the problem

check the USB leads that attach to the motherboard usually red white green black make sure they are securely seated and have no dust build up on them dust will cause static and a lot of unforeseen problems to a computer and its parts

if you need more help with post a reply

When i plug my 4g cruzer micro usb memory stick nothing happens the cpmuter dosnt read that it is plugged in

Try a different USB device on each of the USB ports on your computer.
Hopefully, all your USB ports are working correctly.

Try a different USB port on your computer.
Hopefully, the SanDisk will be detected on one of the ports.

Try a USB port on a different computer.
If the SanDisk still is not detected, then spend $10 to buy a new 4GB flash-drive.

Says it needs formating but windows wont format sandisk cruzer 4g

Hello , welcome

  1. 1 Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  2. 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  3. 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  4. 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  5. 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  6. 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Not knowing how to insert into hard drive.

You need a USB to Flash card adapter, you push the little card into the slot, and if it is a mini card, it has to go into another card "Carrier" that plugs into another adapter, that then plugs into the PC, either through the USB adapter or a slot in PC, anyway, when you insert it, automatically, a driver will be installed, it is "Built into" Windows, now after it has done so. you can simply use it as a "Drive", meaning you can Copy, Cut, Paste.

I bent the metal usb connector on my 4gb cruzer and the light flashes one time and system wont recognize device.

I had the same situation happen to me. My flash drive was in my computer on my coffee table and my dog tripped over the power wire for the laptop and it hit the floor bending the flash drive to about a 22 degree angle. I gently grasped the metal portion that inserts into the usb port and slowly bent it back to the original position and it worked fine. Two weeks later my dog ate the damn thing!! If you attempt to bend it back, make sure that you do not use pliers or any tool that may crush the metal portion or bend it out of shape. If you have an old computer or a usb port on a wire or hub, insert it, and bend it by hand. Good luck and I hope this helps.

When i plug my sandisk 2gb it dosent work!

Have you tried every USB port? Do any other things work on your USB ports? Is it USB 2.0 and your computer only does USB 1.0? Have you tried the sandisk in another computer? Does the USB port feel loose when the sandisk is inserted? Sounds like the sandisk may be bad.

Inserting SanDisk Cruzer in USB, REBOOTS the Computer instantly

Not sure if this is the problem, but I just found out that in some BIOS menus, there are 3 options for your USB controller...Enable...Disable...No Boot.

If you know how to get to your BIOS, it's worth a shot to make sure it is set to "No Boot" if it is an option.
