If you are getting fine horizontal lines thet means the picture is over exposing. most probably the apparture or the shutter blade mechanism is not working fine. needs repairs.

Remove the Battery from the Camera then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Then, reinsert the Battery pack and turn on the Camera and reset it to the original factory settings by selecting the "Initialize" option under Setup1.
If the issue persists then service will be required.
sound like the screen control on the flyback is set just a little too high. the flyback has the red wire attached to the tube. the flyback has 2 small adjustable controls. if you look close enough 1 is marked focus & on is screen. turn the screen slightly to the left & look at your picture. the screen is like a master brightness & if it's up too high you will see what is called retrace lines.
