I have the SAME problem too with the Phillips, I actually bought a volume booster, a bulky extra component to carry around hooked up to it and sad thing is, it STILL isn't loud enough!! SOOO annoying, I will never buy this product again.

I have the same problem, but withh every mp3 player I have tried, including Philips and iPods. Apparently the volume is restricted in europe due to some ridiculous law.

Actually there is a way. If you re-encode the file using an mp3 conversion utility, you can adjust the volume there

Yes i borrowed a go gear and the volume is so so low, with cheap headphones and with £280 sennheiser headphones which in my studio could easily make you deaf on full volume... maybe the preamp for the headphones that phillips use isnt powerful enough, cheap components...and i just re-charged it using a motorola phone charger lol .. it works lol

SOURCE: mp3 sound

The problem might be from the earphones, you might need to try differnt ones. As much as I know there's no mp3 noise emphlafier. Thoth you can search for an mp3 player noise reduction plug in don't think there's one thogth.

I can't get the volume loud enough to listen to the songs on the Eclipse mp3 player(2GB). How do I get the volume to work so I can listen to the songs?

The volume button is the one under the center pause/ play (>II) button.
It may be marked VOL.

The manual does not give anymore information than that.

Try using short press or press and hold to change the volume.
This is a common method for using two functions on the one button

I updated my Sansa Clip yesterday when I got the regular reminder through the updater but now the volume is very low even when the slider is at max. The manual says it can be adjusted through the settings...

After a update the player needs to be reset. To reset the player:
1. Slide and hold the Power switch up for approximately 20 seconds.
2. Release the Power switch.
3. To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly.

The volume is not loud enough on my i-pod classic

There is a volume limiter under "settings", check to be sure its turned all the way up (you actually have to click the center button to save). Also you will find "Sound Check" being turned on greatly reduces volume.

Dynex iPod Dock with Remote Control connected to a tv. Volume not loud enough even though volume on tv and ipod volume are all the way up.

i had the same problem. it seems that you have to use the remote to turn the volume up on the ipod instead of doing it manually. that worked for me.

Car audio and mp3 player

Turn volume up all the way on goGear, then turn volume up on your car stereo.

Static is caused by the headphone moving around in the jack - find a place where the GoGear can sit relatively still w/o shuffling, etc.

Volume not loud enough

Hey everybody...
I guess hope you found the solution man...but you if not or for the people with the same peoblem that trying to find the way to make their amazing Sandisk Sansa clip...I have a weird but works solution...
So this what you need to do to make your player louder:
1)press to home butten
2)go to settings
3)go to system settings
and now comes to weird/funny part...if you'r an American or the "Volume" section apear to you than select it and choose high insted of normal otherwise when you got your player you pobably choose everythng other than North America as where you live...
so what you need to do is to Reset Factory Settings then press Yes then press English and lastly press North America...I guess if your from Iran you ****** off right...but ****....if it will make your Sansa go louder than **** it...
well hope I was helpfull for someone and I hope you will enjoy your player better than before...
peace...
