Dell Inspiron 8600 Wireless connection driver Problem

I would check network connections in your control panel first and make sure your wireless connection is enabled. Next I would go to System in control panel and then go to device manager and check to see if the drive for the wireless is installed. May want to try here for the Driver download.

When my wireless is turned on i get a blue screen. dell 8600

Go to support.dell.com enter your tag number for your laptop, download the driver for your wireless card it will probably say Intel Pro Wireless, download the driver install it and see if this remedies the problem. If not the laptop could have a virus, verify your anti virus protection is up to date and perform a scan on the computer to detect it there is a known issue with a virus.

Chng internal wireless adapter from 11Mbps to 54 Mbps

The 802.11 protocol is for wireless adapters. If your is 11MBs, it is a b card. Buy a g or n card to achieve the 54 MBs you want. Be sure to uninstall the b card and software before you install the new card.

Good luck, and please let me know how this works out for you.

Wireless internet

Wireless range is pretty much limited to router placement and type (802.11N has longer range than 802.11B/G) so if you want to increase your range/reception use and 802.11N PCMCIA Card and 802.11N router
