I'm not sure whether this will help solve your problem, in my Canon digicam I have to press and hold the button atleast for a second, till I hear a click.
choose
your country & language. on the next page, type in the model of
your product then click on the model for the country where you
bought the product (if you are given a choice).
once you get to the page with information about your product, click on the 'Software and drivers' link in the left hand menu.
be sure you pick the right driver for your country, language and operating system.
