Thin green line

Hello. Have a brand new LCD tv Phillips 47" 47PFL5422D/37
47PFL5422D/37. Just tonight noticed a very thin greenish, bluish vertical line running thru the picture. It is about 13 inches from the left side of the screen. It appears in the TV mode where the cable is directly plugged into the tv. Also in the mode where the cable is routed through our VHS/DVD recorder. And also when playing a DVD. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have exactly the same problem with a Cineos Philips 47"Perfect pixel HD LCD TV - 47PFL9632D.

I have heard that using a 3-2 prong converter found at a hardware store can take it away. It takes the plug into the wall from a 3 prong plug to a 2 prong plug and is supposed to work. try it and let me know if it works.

Most likely your tv has a defective LCD panel. If it's in warranty, drop it to the warranty depot shop to repair.

Vizio VW46LFHDTV10A vertical lines on either side of the screen. I tapped screen and left side lines disappeared.

I would bet on it being a panel issue, you can try a new t-con but I don't think its going to correct it, may be time to buy a new set
