Pace HD-DVR TDC778X with Mediacom. I'm on my third box - this is a consistent problem. On overnight recordings it will record an entire program in one minute segments. When you delete all the one minute recordings the list is empty and says 'nothing to view.' But the DVR still indicates whatever percentage it's full. The shows are still there but hidden. Mediacom tech has no clue.

Have you tried rebooting the DVR and removing the card that came with the DVR if its one that was provided to by one of the satellite company's such as Directv or Dish.
You might need a splitter (about 3 bucks at walmart) attach the Antenna to the side of the splitter with only one connection. Connect an RF cable to each of the remaining 2 connections. Run one wire to the DVR and the other to the TV. You can then watch one channel, and record on the other at the same time. You might not be able to record in HD if the recorder is not an HD recorder. Regular DVD recorders only record up to 500 lines, HD is rated at 720 or 1080 lines
yes your hook is all correct...but still will not work......unless this is a d-vhs recorder...(and the other way to record hd is dvr)....(note dont throw the standard vcr away) it might and can be use later down road
When I hooked up my HD cable box using an HDMI cable, I had to go into the cable screen menus and select HDMI output. You may have to do something similar when using an S-video cable. Your DVD recorder doesn't seem to have an HDMI input, so you'll have to use the S-video or (worst case) composite video (red, white, yellow cords). Your cable box may also be scrambling the signal so that you can't record. That may be why you can record by bypassing the cable box.
