5 disc cd changer CC4000 will not read

5 disc cd changer CC4000/CC4000 OSE will not read discs? This happened suddenly and I am wondering if it is dirty, and should I attempt cleaning it myself? It was playing 5 discs on random quite happily and then stopped and now can't seem to read discs, and says player is empty please load discs. Did start playing a disc for a short time on one occasion , but then stopped after about a minute and started reading discs, saying player empty, load discs?

To open the disc area, the system is quiet; when closing, it is squeaky.

All players need cleaned from time totime. Do NOT try to clean it with anything other than a CD / DVD lens cleaner. They are available almost everywhere that sellsBlank media. It will clean the lens without scratching or smearing it.

Bose 2020 radio isn't connecting to 2016 multi cd changer. CD light come on but radio doesn't recognize disc 2, 3, or 4.

If your Bose 2020 radio is not connecting to your 2016 multi-CD changer and is not recognizing discs 2, 3, or 4, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check the connections: Make sure that the multi-CD changer is properly connected to the Bose 2020 radio. Check the connections for any loose or disconnected cables.
2. Check the disc format: Make sure that the discs you are trying to play are in a format that is compatible with the CD changer. Some CD changers may not be able to read certain formats or may have trouble reading scratched or damaged discs.
3. Clean the discs: Try cleaning the discs to remove any dust, dirt, or fingerprints. Use a soft, lint-free cloth and wipe from the center of the disc to the outer edge.
4. Clean the CD changer: Dust and debris can build up inside the CD changer, causing it to have trouble reading discs. Try using a CD cleaning disc or a can of compressed air to remove any dust or debris that may be inside the CD changer.
5. Reset the system: Try resetting the Bose 2020 radio and the CD changer. Unplug the power cords from both devices, wait a few minutes, and then plug them back in.
If none of these solutions work, there may be a problem with the CD changer or the radio. You may need to contact Bose customer support for further assistance or take the devices to a qualified technician for repair.

How can I get my RCA 5 disc CD changer stereo to work right?

I have an RCA 5 Disc Changer, purchased at Target. The first one had a prolific issue of skipping on discs. It would play part of song on the first disc then suddenly change to the next disc. However, it did not ALWAYS do this, just sometimes, seemingly at random. Then one day, it would suddenly work just fine on all 5 discs. Eventually it simply would not play an entire song at all, so I took it back (within the time of the warranty). They had 1 of the same left on the back shelves so was able to get that one. This one started doing the exact same thing within the month. Now, it will not READ discs. It will simply read, 'Read"..and then when it comes up showing the disc number it has all zeros. I tried skipping to the next disc and then the next, and suddenly it read. That was fine for two days, then it would not even do that. I tried using compressed air inside all of the open disc drawer, and on all the discs but to no avail. Just now I tried tilting the entire unit Back at about a 30 degree angle and while in that position hit the 'disc change' button on the remote and suddenly it read. How long will this work? Have no idea. Very irritating - and it's hard to find this kind of player anymore, apart from a Component System which is a whole new playing field. Amazingly , I had bought my first changer, a 6 CD changer, cheap one at wal mart long ago and it lasted me about 10 years and never had a problem. It was a no-name brand too, I would expect better from RCA but alas, tis not the case.

RCA 5 disc Changer RS2600 stop reading the cd and and shows "no disc"

The reading eye is most likely dirty and doesn't see the disc clearly. If you can clean it with alcohol on a long QTip, you might get it work again for a while. Dirt & dust are the worst on the opticals. If you can clean it yourself great. Many can't be done without taking the case cover off.

Check that no CD's have dropped behind the load tray. The same issues happened to me and I found 3 discs that had fallen out and were blocking the mechanism from going past disc 5

Will not play anything.

There is a rubber belt inside the loading mechanism, you should replace it by the new one. Cleaning the optical unit can be of great help also. If you need more info, please advice.
