Hi flowergirl. It sounds like the signal coming into the house is low or the box is bad. I bet it's the signal, you should ask them to come out and Install a signal booster, this will improve the signal frequency. They will do this free of charge. Also I dont know if you have the signal split to more than one tv but this looses signal as well and a booster will help that too. They alway's try everything before giving a booster so keep on them about it.

Hope this help's, Jay

Tv programs freeze up numerous times during day. have to unplug, retart each time. what can be done? I HAVE VIP 222K MODEL.

There is an installation problem, and you need a technician. When the receiver reboots, it sends a boost of power to the LNBF until it gets a signal in return, or gets a response of no signal. If you have damaged lines, a damaged receiver, damaged LNBF, or low signal reception on your antenna, a rebooted receiver will, for a very short time, boost the signal enough to get reception. Then, the receiver will drop the power back to the correct levels, thereby eliminating the short term reception boost. A technician can repair your installation to improve the reception, as long as there is Line Of Sight to the correct satellites.

Connect motorola box DCT 2524 to toshiba 40E22OU TV

You need proper connector for that. You can always get a usb to 5 pin connector from your local store.

I need a owners manual for a Sunquest Pro 24 RS, Wolff Systems tanning bed

Have a trained technician to look at it. You probably have a loose wire nut in the wall box if it is hardwired or a loose connection on the wall receptical. The screws on the recepticals can come loose when pushing the receptical into the wall box. Most new construction uses plastic wall boxes so shorting out the receptical screws to the box should not be a problem. It is possible that the bare ground wire inside the box is hitting one of the receptical screws. If so, then push the bare wire away from the screws with an insulated screwdriver.

Poor reception on some digital channels

If possible either move the set to a room with no reception issue to see if same there or move another set to where this one is.

Usually a set does not have a problem if only certain channels.

Swap the set(looking for loose or damaged connection where cable crimps to fitting) if you can.

My DTC 6200 converter/decoder was working fine. A few weeks ago I have disconnected it, pull the power cord out of the AC outlet, put the decoder in a safe place. Then when I finish painting, I hook...

Hello
Check out these with your Motorola converter

[1] Verify that the AC power cord is connected to the DCT*
and an AC outlet.

[2] If the DCT* is connected to a switched outlet on another
unit, verify that that unit is powered on.

[3] Press the POWER button on the DCT* front panel instead

of the remote control. The batteries in the remote control
may be depleted

[4] The DCT* may have received a software update and

may not power on while the new software is being
installed. Try again in a few minutes.
OK.

No reception. Says check reception.

I am assuming that you have a Midland WR-100 Weather Radio. The display is saying check reception because you haven't received any kind of warning, Required Weekly Test (RWT), or Required Monthly Test (RMT) in a while. Do not panic. All you have to do is just watch the radio either every Wednesday, the first Wednesday of every month, the last Wednesday of every month or whatever Wednesday the NWS radio station in your county does their test. They usually run them starting at 10:00 a.m.. Keep watching it throughout the day because it could start at anytime. The display screen will read whatever test you are getting. When you watch your radio, look for the advisory light to light up. If nothing is said on the radio, then that means they are running a test. Your light will stay on for a few hours, but it will eventually go off. If this doesn't help, try moving your radio to a different place in the room or another room. If that doesn't help, unplug the DC cable and take out the batteries, then re-install them again. Hope this solution helps.

DCT6412 DVR Box

When that happens its most likley you had a power outage and the box reset.  Well kinda reset but not all the way.  You can unplug the power and wait about 10sec and plug it back in and wait a few min to a few hours, and If that doesn't work get a new box.

Motorola DCT 2244/1661/abcdeg locked up

Pay Per View events, or IPPV events are stored inside the unit on NVRAM (Non-Volitile RAM) until the DAC-6000 (Digital Access Controller) calls up or "polls" your unit for IPPV events.
THE BAD NEWS:
They cannot be removed by "resetting" the unit.  Some claim unplugging the unit for several hours or days.... other claim that you can unplug the unit, hold down the power and select buttons at the same time, and plug the unit back in (while holding these buttons) and watch the LED screen flash 8888 several times and then let go of the power and select buttons.  All this does is erase the firmware, NOT the IPPV or polling information.
Only the DAC-6000 can remove the events from your unit. Those events are stored in the unit forever until it's correctly polled by the DAC.
THE REALLY BAD NEWS:
Once those events are collected you will be billed for everything you watched.
The "0" you are seeing on the LED screen indicates it has lost it's firmware and is basically a "brick" until it has been properly re-authorized with the firmware and cleared any polling events.
