TH-50PZ80U television, when trying to power on I get 2 blinks from the red power light. The pattern repeats until I unplug the tv. Tv has worked sporadically for the last 2 weeks, but is dead once again
1. Reseating the connector P25 may solve the problem. If it does not.
2. Unplug the unit andd disconnect the connectors A5, A6, and A7. Apply power to the TV. If a White screen comes up and all voltages check normal, replace the P board.
3. If the TV stays on after isolating the SC board, then replace the SC board and the D board; it is likely that the fuse on the D board is blown.
Hi, my gf's plasma, has a bad hdmi1 jack. it shows up on the menu as something's plugged to it, but nothing is. hdmi3 is a dead lead on the menu, even if something is plugged in before the tv is on or after. I'm getting ready to take the back off, but realized the hdmi jack is probably something that is sodereed to a board, vs a plug in. what should i do?

Oh wow, it totally worked.
1. take the back cover off the tv
2. Look at the large circuit board in the center of tv
3. find a plastic connector labeled p25, it should have around 10 wires coming off it
4. unplug p25 then plug it back in.
5. plug in power cord and turn on

At first I unplugged p25 then plugged it back and the tv worked for a couple of power ups, but then started the 2 blink routine again. I disconnected A5,A6 and A7 and the white screen comes up. So I guess I need to replace the p board. Should I replace the main p board or the auxilliary p board? or should I replace both?
please help
