Panasonic TH-50PZ80U tv, error- 2 blinks

TH-50PZ80U television, when trying to power on I get 2 blinks from the red power light. The pattern repeats until I unplug the tv. Tv has worked sporadically for the last 2 weeks, but is dead once again

1. Reseating the connector P25 may solve the problem. If it does not.
2. Unplug the unit andd disconnect the connectors A5, A6, and A7. Apply power to the TV. If a White screen comes up and all voltages check normal, replace the P board.
3. If the TV stays on after isolating the SC board, then replace the SC board and the D board; it is likely that the fuse on the D board is blown.

Hi, my gf's plasma, has a bad hdmi1 jack. it shows up on the menu as something's plugged to it, but nothing is. hdmi3 is a dead lead on the menu, even if something is plugged in before the tv is on or after. I'm getting ready to take the back off, but realized the hdmi jack is probably something that is sodereed to a board, vs a plug in. what should i do?

Oh wow, it totally worked.

1. take the back cover off the tv
2. Look at the large circuit board in the center of tv
3. find a plastic connector labeled p25, it should have around 10 wires coming off it
4. unplug p25 then plug it back in.
5. plug in power cord and turn on

At first I unplugged p25 then plugged it back and the tv worked for a couple of power ups, but then started the 2 blink routine again. I disconnected A5,A6 and A7 and the white screen comes up. So I guess I need to replace the p board. Should I replace the main p board or the auxilliary p board? or should I replace both?

Hello Everyone. My name is Mervin Guy. i have over 20 years experience in the TV repair business. Spent a lot of years with Advisory TV & Radio Labs. Then With Circuit City until they close. I have the Fix for the Panasonic 2 blinks error and also the 10 blinks fix. This is for the TH-46PZ85 , TH-46PZ80, TH-50PZ80, TH-50PZ85U. I am listed here under the name circuitcity. To get the fix you have to ship your board to us. You can check us out on e-bay under the name "startny" or at circuitsquad dot com. We have a 100% feedback at e-bay. I must have fixed over 200 of these board and never a complaint. I cannot give you the fix in this public forum because its a business for us. I am just offering the true fix for those who really wants it. You can also find me at atomicmall under the name Circuit Squad. This is the real fix and not some guess or perhaps fix. There is a blinking red light next to power button.Panasonic tv will not turn on.

1. Subject
Information of LED Flashing timing chart.
2. Contents
When an abnormality has occurred the unit, the protection circuit operates and reset to the stand by mode. At this time, the
defective block can be identified by the number of blinks of the Power LED on the front panel of the unit.

Hopefully it eventually stops blinking after unplugging set from the outlet, otherwise claim your Nobel Prize for wireless energy transmission.

Have a TH-50PZ80U and wont come on, light blinks 2 times

A 2 Blink error code is a 15V SOS. Either your D board ( logic pcb ) is bad, or you aren't getting your 15V from the power supply. Check the 15V line from the porwer supply to the logic board. if the 15V are there then you need to replace the D board. If they are not, then your power supply is at fault.
