I believe that smarthoe had a recall on insteon switchs...
Dear Valued INSTEON® Customer,

We hope this announcement has been helpful and apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you. We are committed to bringing you a wide range of quality, innovative INSTEON products.

Error 49.23F9

. Press CANCEL JOB to clear the print job from the printer memory. 2. Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on. You can try reprinting the job to see if it was a temporary error. 3. If error persists, try printing a job from a different software application. If the alternate job prints, go back to the first application and try printing a different file. (If the message only appears with a certain software application or certainprint job, try upgrading the printer driver and / or firmware.) 4. If the message persists with different software applications and print jobs, disconnect all cables to the printer that connect it to the network or printer. Turn the printer off and delete the print queue. Then reboot printer AND computer, reconnect cables, and try printing again. 6. Remove all EIO devices from the printer (JetDirect cards, hard drives, etc.). If 49 error goes away, turn printer off, re-install EIO devices one at a time, and reboot printer each time to determine which EIO device is failing. 7. If printing still fails with all EIO devices removed, remove all memory DIMMs or third-party DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM-- printer won't function without this installed.) Turn the printer on with DIMMS missing. If the error no longer exists, install each DIMM one at a time, turn printer on, test printer. Replace a DIMM if you determine that it causes the error. 8. Remember to reconnect all cables that connect the printer to the network or computer. 9. If the error persists, replace the firmware DIMM. 10. If error persists, replace the formatter.

Turned off while mixing roll dough

There are two devices that protect against overheating; one temporary, a bimetal switch, and another that is a thermal fuse which once opened, doesn't reset. For safety your mixer may have both or it could just be another failed Chinese bimetal switch. These poorly made devices fail after as few as a few hundred cycles of off/on.
Drip coffee makers are terrible in this respect and the devices are frequently welded to leads rather than soldered because of the heat to which they are exposed.
They are easily checked for continuity with even the most primative multimeter.

USB works only for KBD not USB mouse...all work on other PC's but not on XPS400. Chipset update and reinstalled drivers from Dell. Must be MOBO. Warranty out in 3 weeks. Dell support resisting mobo...

If you swap the usb mouse to another known good working usb port does that work. If it does then great, if not then here is what you will need to do. Go to device manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers > Delete any usb root hub devices, reboot windows and it will automatically redetect the drivers. You will notice that during this process your other usb devices will stop working, this is temporary until you reboot. If this is a logitech mouse uninstall the setpoint software through add/remove.
