I have a Timex indiglo wr 30m wrist watch and I can't set the day

Insane as it seems, apparently the Indiglo wr30m watch stem does NOT have either a set screw or a release button. No vice needed though, just good fingernails. Pull it out one click to the 'set time' position and pull it out some more and it comes out.

I pulled the stem out, and presto. Thanks for nothing!

I second the vice advice...the only thing that worked was to put it in a vice and crank it one more crank then you think is possible. You will hear a little "pop" when it snaps into place. It was the only thing that worked!
