SOURCE: Frigidaire front load washer not spinning
Unsrew the bottom panel and u will find the pump to the right disconnect the hose from the back thats coming down from the tub.You will find a pocket behind the hose connect filled with all kinds of change probably enough to buy a pizza and a couple of beers. I also had a old credit card, gas pass bobby pins, hard plastic tags.chains and a hand full of sand.
My Frigidaire frontloader is 9 yrs old was close to buying a new one but this defintly fixed the problem..
works like new again.
SOURCE: My model #gltr1670aso makes loud noises during spin cycle
Usually this is due to either the drum support breaking or the back bearing being bad-neither easy to fix- or worth it. Try lifting the drum up and down, if it moves up and down they are bad. I see this a lot, and the price of repair isn't worth it. Craig

First of all check the motor.most probably its got weak so its spinning when empty but not spinning when there are clothes in the machine.
It doesn't spin
If your washer won't spin, check these:
It doesn't pump or spin
It pumps, but doesn't spin
It spins only with the lid closed
It doesn't pump or spin
If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:
It pumps, but doesn't spin
If your washer pumps out the water but doesn't spin, check these:
It spins only with the lid closed
For safety, washing machines are made so that they spin only with the lid closed. The lid switch prevents the spinning action when the lid is up.

The more I look at this motor the more I think that it is a stepping motor and not an AC motor... I could be wrong, but checking the windings and seeing the small Tach Motor on the rear leads me to believe that this is not a ac motor, but a stepping motor and is triggered from the programmer for rpm
