My nuvi wont stop asking me to push the dot

Hello,

Try performing a soft reset on the unit.
Resetting Your nüvi
If your unit stops responding, turn off the unit, and then turn it back on. If this does not help, perform a reset using the reset button on the bottom of the unit.
Caution: Do not reset your nüvi with a ballpoint pen or other sharp object, which can damage your unit.
1. Disconnect the nüvi from external power.
2. Press the Reset button on the bottom of the nüvi.
3. Connect the nüvi to a power source.

A hard reset can also be done but will erase all the user data.
This is done by with the unit off and pressing and holding the bottom right hand corner of the screen while turning the unit on.

Also try running the Garmin WebUpdater and reload the latest update again.

Garman 225w won't start, stops after "loading

The micro usb port is at the back. Connect Vehicle Power Cable to the nüvi and connect the other end to your computer, your nüvi does not operate as a GPS unit - it goes into some sort of charging mode. However, if you FIRST turn on the nüvi in the battery mode then go into the test mode (press the battery icon for about 8-9 seconds) from the main screen, THEN PLUG in the USB cable, and finally exit the test screen, your nüvi will restart (reboot) and it will operate just like it was plugged into the cradle connection in your vehicle.

This mode will charge the battery
AND operate as a GPS.

It works with my computer USB cable, my cell phone charger and my car charger for my cell phone.

Don't forget to turn off the nüvi before unplugging.

Will feed wire but will not start an ark to weld

Make sure that the ground clamp is securely fastened to the workpiece.
Ensure that the power pin is fully seated into the housing where it receives the current.
Ensure that voltage and amperage settings are correct.

I have a Hobart handler 120/90amp wire feed welder. When i try to weld, all i get is a small spark.I turn it off, turn it on and it does it again. The wire feed works good,it just sparks, but will not keep...

I have welded countless hours with Linde & Lincoln & even a few Hobarts & the only time that I ever had the same problem was when the ground connection either to the object I was welding, or the welding cable ground wasn't good & clean & tight. Same on stick welders also. I did develop the habit of grinding not only where I was preparing to weld, but where I was placing my ground clamp & that always provided a better "frying bacon" sound as I went along the business of pushing a bead. In a welder, the only other thing than that is involved is the step-up transformer and your wire. Hope this helps.

No Power

Dear Sir,

I assume, you have voltmeter with you.
Set VOM to DC 20 V range.
Remove the Power Supply from cabinet. Be sure you have proper earth in your house/workshop.
On the 20/24 pin main connector of your power supply, short the pins carrying green & black wire.
Hook your voltmeter -ve on any black pin of the connector permenantly.
& then connect the mains power cord to your power supply.
If your power supply is ok, this shall start the fans of the power supply on & running. Now you can check the voltages on different pins. There is a sticker on your power supply showing the normal voltages on every wire.
If you don't see any / normal volatges, your power supply needs repairing. You can buy a new one/ repair existing.
