Need bandsaw tires (3) for wheels that are about 18 7/8" circumference, 3/8" wide, for 10" Black & Decker bandsaw (#9443) that are no longer made. Preferably non-rubber as that kind deteriorates quite quickly. All the resources I find don't list the specs for the tires, just the bandsaw size.

SOURCE: Can anyone tell me where to get the rubber tires

Bandsaw tires are sized according to the wheel diameter, so for an older machine like yours you'll need to check that first.
Then you'll have many options available, simply by googling bandsaw tires.
To get them on, heat in warm water before stretching.
Here's one link to get you started: Carter

SOURCE: hi i have a craftman bench 10 inch bandsaw that has blade drif

The problem could be one of two things. The tires could be worn or glazed with rosin. Try cleaning the tires with mineral spirits to remove the build-up. The other possibility is that the pulleys are out of alignment. To check this, put a straight edge across the face of the lower pulley and see if squares with the upper pulley, if it doesn't, loosen the set screw on the upper pulley and adjust accordingly

What is the wheel circumference of older 1988 AirDyne to use for bike computer to replace Schwinn ergometer?

The wheel circumference of a 1988 Schwinn AirDyne exercise bike may vary depending on the specific model and tire size. To determine the wheel circumference for your bike computer, you'll need to measure it directly. Here's how you can do it:
  1. Measure the Tire Diameter: Lift the front wheel of the bike off the ground so it's freely spinning. Use a tape measure to measure the diameter of the tire from one side to the other. Make sure you measure the actual tire, not the rim.
  2. Calculate the Circumference: Once you have the diameter in millimeters, you can calculate the circumference using the formula: Circumference (mm) = ? (pi) x Diameter (mm).
    • You can approximate ? as 3.14 for simplicity.
  3. Convert to Centimeters or Meters: To make it more compatible with most bike computers, you might want to convert the circumference from millimeters to centimeters or meters.

Do 17" wheels fit on 2015 Legacy 2.5 LIMITED (car comes with 18" wheels) ? any technical aspect of the car would prevent from putting 17" ?

As long as the bolt pattern and wheel setback are compatible there is no reason why you cannot go a 17" wheel. You may consider going to a higher profile tire to keep the tire circumference the same because keeping the same low profile will result in a speedometer error unless you recalibrate it.

Replace tire

I suggest you to check the manual of the saw. One of the easiest technique I applied on installing a tire on my bandsaw
is I lay the band wheels on a wooden table or any wooden surface. Outside the wheel, I buried 6 nails around it , like a
half inch away from the wheel. Then, I strecth over the urethane tires outside the nails then afterwards I pulled the nails
one by one. When you re-install the wheel, make sure the wheels are in balance. To check this , you need to spin the
wheel freely by hand and observe any high and low points for the new tires. Also , before removing the wheels, I advise
to mark the front site of the upper/lower wheels. This ensures the wheels will be placed with the correct side facing out.

My car tires were the standard size P185 65 R14. They were recently changed to P185 60 R15. Will this cause any problems on this car?

Original tire
Sidewall: 4.73 in
Radius: 11.73 in
Diameter: 23.47 in
Circumf: 73.73 in
Revs/mile: 859.37
New Tire
Sidewall: 4.37 in
Radius: 11.87 in
Diameter: 23.74 in
Circumf: 74.58 in
Revs/mile: 849.54

Speedometer reading with new tire is 1.16% too slow.
When your speedometer is reading 60mph you are actually traveling 60.69mph.

What is the difference between tire size 255/70 and 265/70

Hello Projocs03,

Tires are typically measured tire width (sidewall)/tire ride height/wheel size. The differences of the two tire sizes you published are .4 of an inch difference in width/sidewall. And about .55 in over all diameter which would impact you revs per rotation. Depending on your wheel size.

Attached is a comparison of the two given the variable of 17" rim.

Stock Tire >Search Tires Tire 1 - 255/70R17 >Search Tires Tire 2 - 265/70R17 >Search Tires Section Width: - - Section Width: 10.03 in 255 mm Section Width: 10.43 in 265 mm Rim Diameter: - - Rim Diameter: 17 in 431.8 mm Rim Diameter: 17 in 431.8 mm Rim Width Range:

I added the above link so you can research further or change any variables you need to know. However, the most important thing to understand is the impact of your speedometer. Different sizes will have different impacts. For example going to a bigger tire will show a slower speed on your spedo that your traveling.

Good luck

Bandsaw tire part #41815, where to buy?

Hello,
A bandsaw tire is usalley defined by the size of the saw. A example is a 12" x 80" bandsaw means that the wheel (tire) is 12" and the blade is 80" . If you are unsure just measure the wheel size.

Then go online and type in (example) 12" bandsaw tires.

You will soon see that there are a few different choices in material , the stock ones from sears are cheap but will do the job. Then there are the poly orange ones that cost more but don't slip like the stock ones.

Also type in bandsaw tires on YouTube this may help because changing them can be a pain.

Hope this helped, I asked the same questions when I got my first Saw years ago and am glad to pass it on. If this helped I would apperciate a comment.

Thanks,

Watching someone in the service if you are on your car if the tires are as large in circumference? I solved the problem were in the car using tires 235/45/18 front and 255/45/18 rear, this is a mistake because the wheels are different circumference and ABS sensors to know that the wheels turning in the front differential in to the back , and thinks that the car has different in traction and trying to correct it at reduced power of motor! to the rear tire should be 255/35/18 therefore lower at how wide! The problem with the gearbox with it. Try this my information
