My phone got water damaged when the phone accidentally went into the sink while i was listening to some music. Some Water has crept through my phone and the phone has started to go slow. I dont know why this has happened. My phone is very slow at the starting but after 5 minutes my phone is a bit better. It still can be a bit slow though. W850i slow and damaged...

Phone loads really slow

My phone is malfuntioning i.e not on constant problem keeps shorting i.e cutting off ......
is on and staying on only half minute or 1 minute then cuts off???
went too repair shop said i require a new chipboard,,,,,,, is this possible too come by

I Had Water Damage All You Have To Do Is Go To A Phone Shop And Tell Them The Problem And They Will Fix It For You. It Might Take A Couple Of Days But It Works And It Cost Me Like 50 Pounds ;)

These phnes are really bad worst phone i ahve eva had i had it a month and the whole phone crashed down wudnt turn on everytime i tried to turn my phone back on it jsut vibrated also the keys have cracked...my phone is away getting repaired now but my advice to people is dont buy these phones its all a scam!!!!

There are little moisture indicator strips located around the inside of the phone. The phone doesn't have to be near liquid water to to become damaged.

Sometimes working as a cell phone tech I would have customers come in with a malfunctioning phone. I would check for water damage and my fear would be confirmed by those little strips but the phone hadn't been near water!

It wasn't until later that I found that the customer had been listening to their tunes while in the shower and the phone was on the sink playing away.

Also going from a cold climate and then into your house during the winter will cause this.

There may be a few places in your area that MIGHT fix your phone but it can depend on which part they're replacing and the carrier.

Be sure to back up your data if you can.

My phone scrren wont light up. i had left my phone in the bathroom while i was bathing and the room was filled steam.When i come out of the bathroom i check my phone and the screen was covered in steam....

the worst for phone is water damage.in your case lcd is damage.must change.but its not guarantee for property work on your mobile cos water may damaged other parts of device.ALWAYS KEEP PHONE FAR OF WATER

W850i water damage?

Hi Aky,
The best thing to do is to take the battery out leave it to dry and your phone do not try to charge the phone for a few days that should solve the problem. if not the water has gone into the liguid lcd screen.and the lcd screen need to be replace.
