As i click yahoo messenger,error of application appear

It is possible that someone has accidentally uninstalled Yahoo! Messenger.

Try going to My Computer > C:/ > Program Files > Yahoo! > Messenger and here look for an icon of a smiley face :) that reads Yahoo! Messenger. Try to open that. If it doesn't work or if it's not there someone messed with your files.

In which case go to Yahoo.com click on Messenger on the left hand side and reinstall the Yahoo! Messenger application.

Make sure that your administrator profile is logged on.Go to this site http://messenger.yahoo.com/download/. Click Download Now to begin downloading and installing Yahoo! Messenger 10.When prompted, please click the Run button in each window that appears. Make sure that you have internet connection. In case it failed still, please close any other application running and try it again. Please get error messages if there's any.

1. Reboot your computer.
2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard. This will bring up the Windows Security window. Click the "Task Manager" button and then click the "Task Manager" tab.
3. You will see a list of files/applications. These are the applications running in the background on your system, whether they show on your taskbar or not. Any one of these applications could be causing a conflict with the Yahoo! Messenger installation.
4. Click the top item on the list to highlight it. Then hold the "Shift" key down and click the last item on the list. This should highlight the whole list.
5. Click the "End Task" button. This will temporarily close all background applications on your system.
6. Click the "X" in the upper right corner to close the Task Manager window.
7. Install Yahoo! Messenger. You should not experience the same issue that you had before.
8. After Yahoo! Messenger is installed,run registry cleaner reginout also reboot your system. All other background applications will return to their original configurations.

here... try this one. This is yahoo messenger version 9. Click it to start the download. The yahoo.exe application is working and not corrupted.

You need to re-install another one to avoid the error that occur.
Follow the directions that appear to proceed with the installation.
Uncheck Make Yahoo! my browser's default search engine
Uncheck Make www.yahoo.com your browser's home page
Click the Next button
Check Yes, I accept the License Agreement terms above, and the Yahoo! Terms of Service.
Click the Next button, and proceed according to the instructions.

I'm having the same problem, not quite sure whether it is happending due to upgrade to IE 8 or Windows Installer 4.5 installation. Cleanup and re-install of Yahoo Messenger 10 won't help. The YahooMessenger.exe fails to initialize right during the installation process.

a) Make sure you are the administrator and if not right-click on the installation program and click "Run as Administrator".

b) Use the Windows Installer Clean up Utility to uninstall the Yahoo messenger completely
