Expedition Indiglo Waterproof 50m

Replaced the battery on my Timex Expedition Indiglo WR 50M, now it won't start. Is there a reset button or something?

Yes, there are two 'pads' on the circuit board of the movement. Short them together with metal tweezers and check the display. Try a couple times to make sure you actually shorted them. Make sure the battery isn't inserted upside down. Make sure the battery clamp and gaskets are installed properly.

Look at your watch to see if the alarm (shaped like a bell) and hour chime (shaped like a pacman) are displayed.

If Both are displayed:
  1. Hold down the Adjust button and press the start/stop button twice

If the Hour Chime is only displayed:

  1. Hold down the adjust button and press the start/stop button three times

Timex 1440 sport indiglo 50m convert from 24 hour clock to 12 hour clock.
There are several models of your watch not all of which appear to have a 12/24 hour display format.

Try this extract from a manual; press the MODE button six times to enter the 12/24 adjusting setting and then use the START/STOP or SPLIT/RESET button to change the time.

Press the mode button to return to normal operation.

My son's watch (WR 50M) broke... so I have a strap, if you'd like it.

Timex expedition indiglo wr 50m
I had the same problem, and could not find any answers on timex.com. After you place the battery in and it begins to beep, push all four buttons in at the same time. This should "reset" the watch -- at least it did for me.
