My tv is making a loud buzzing noise

I would start by checking all the cooling fans to see if one is dirty or possibly failing.

that's a failure about to happen in your video control circuit board..you feeling like you want to dig into this yourself, or does this have a warranty

In some cases the buzz is external. The vibration of the unit may just cause a tray, flat surface, or other surrounding attachments to rattle and buzz. Look for anything that may be loose or laying on or about the TV.

Hi,If your tv is a dlp you might be experimenting a color wheel problem.The color wheel is a rotating disc that has a gamma of colors it spins at high rpms.The light of the lamp goes through it to create the colors on your tv.When it starts to go bad you will get color distortion ,black and white picture and sometimes you will hear humming noises.

It the colors wheel,the fan don't make that much loud of a noise.When the colors wheel spins off it axis it make very loud squizzing and buzzing noises.

Sounds like your color wheel is failing they make a loud sqeauling noise when they begin to fail.Run you somewhere around $300-400 to have a tech repair it.

There are only 2 moving parts on a dlp tv the color wheel and the fan. The color wheel needs to be replaced about every 4 to 5 years. Some start to make noise and others like mine blow up with a bang. Go to utube to get instructions on how to replace it only cost me for part $100 good luck
