SOURCE: code missing

It sounds like a phone call to your local dealer or service center. Any place that repairs Honda cars should have the code because they often disconnect the battery.

SOURCE: Honda CRV 2005 asking for radio code

hi!

well check for the radio code as in following steps:

1:Under the Hood of the Car is a Fuse-Box. (Different Fuse-Box than Inside the Car) This Fuse-Box has a Lid. Under this Lid is the Radio Code. Therefore, lift the Lid off Completely and the Code is underside of this Lid.

Look in your glove box for a white sticker with black numbers on it. The sticker will be about 1 1/2 inches long and 1/2 in wide. There should be 5 digits on it. These 5 wonderful numbers are your radio code. Put the code in through the preset buttons on the radio. You'll hear a beep and the radio will come back to life. (though you'll have to reprogram all your presets)

2. Ok, there's a sticker there, but there's more than 5 numbers on it! What do I do with that? Don't worry, that's the serial number for the audio unit. Call a dealer, tell them what happened and that you have the serial number and they can get the code for you for free. Write the code down and stick it in the glove box. Follow the steps in #1 above.

3. There's no sticker in my glove box, what now smart guy? Don't panic if you don't find a sticker, there are other places it's put sometimes. Check your sunglass holder (applicable models), the center console, even under the arm rest. I've even seen them under the cover of the under-hood fuse box. Check all these places and hope that u will find ur radio code!! good luck!

My radio system was somehow reset. To turn it on requires enter code but I am the second owner and did not set up a code

You need to take your registration papers with your licence (licence is to prove YOU own the car) to a car dealer ie: Holden, Ford, Toyota, Chrysler and ask at the sales office for the SECURITY CODES FOR YOUR CAR, You'll receive your BCM security number, Car key number-Ignition, Radio security pin number and Radio serial number. These numbers belong to YOUR car and once you have them DON'T loose them because in Australia some dealers charge a fee and some don't.... Hope this helped....CHEERS..
