I need a manual for a jvc rx 506v because I want to hook up an iPod but don't know which type of cord to use? I got it from a friend and can't tell if it is the cord or the system.

Hi. I just bought this unit with its 125w speakers. I can't seem to find the manual for it though. Do you have it in pdf format or something similar?

I bought a redi remote for a JVC RX 884 VBK and I need codes to set it up and instructions on how to set it up, nothing's working

I found a Portugese version of the user manual for the JVC RX-884VBK at ManualsLib here: https://www.manualslib.com/products/Jvc-Rx-884vbk-3775235.html . Take a look at the sections on using the remote starting around page 65. (There is a section on the CompuLink Features and then a page about using the remote with a VCR. After that, I saw remote control codes.) Most Redi-remotes are programmed with the factory standard codes for an original remote. That means that it will not control other AV devices that are newer than the RX-884VBK. Usually universal remotes are limited to controlling devices that were manufactured/programmed 6 months or more before the remote itself was programmed.

I hope this helps.

(Note: I don't read Portugese but used cognates and the adjacent pictures to follow the documentation. I couldn't find any other language versions of this manual.)

Jvc manual for rx-5030

JVC has the manual for the RX-5030VBK (and RX-5030VSL) audio receiver here: resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/00/97/22026ien.pdf . You will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to read this manual.

I hope this helps.

I turn the power on to my RX-318 and a few seconds later it sounds like something else is kicking on....then I dont hear any sound from my speakers. I dont know if theres a fuse blown, the amp is going out...

Sounds like the automatic circuit protection. Check to make sure you have good speakers and NO shorted wires to them. Too many spearkers conected to the outputs will cause the same problem.

JVC RX-318 keeps blowing fuses

could be several things, speaker wires touching, shorted output transistors, a shorted rectifier diode, bad filter caps in the power supply, those are the most common

Jvc rx 318 receiver

The problem you describe is common to JVC amps. This control has a motor mounted on the back of the circuit card that drives the volume control up or down using the remote control for this system. The looseness of the volume control cannot be repaired. The shaft has separated from the potentiometer. I don't know if JVC has this part any longer but it has to be replaced as a unit (volume control card).
