I have a 40 inch Samsung TV which I've had about 3 years (sorry I Don't have the model number handy). I have DirectTV and an HD-DVR. The HD Channels were great up until about a few weeks ago. Now sometimes (not all the time) even the HD Channels look very grainy and fuzzy, much they same way they did before I got the HD Reciever/DVR. I'm trying to figure out if this is a DirectTV problem, or a problem with my TV (or maybe just a bad cable). Interestingly enough, about 4 or 5 months ago, the logic board had to be replaced in the TV. It took almost 20 minutes some mornings just to get it turned on. Best Buy came out and replaced the Logic Board and all was fine up until about 3 weeks ago. I'm not sure whether to go to Best Buy for help or DirectTV. Thanks

If your menus on the TV and other inputs look good then it is probably a resolution setting on your Directv box that needs to be changed. To get HD it needs to be set at 720p or 1080i. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks....

I would suggest to leave your directtv hd/dvr box connected the way It is.
The HD Colorstream 1input on your TV should work just fine.
This TV does not have an HDMI input but you can buy an adapter and connect to DVI/HDCP IN and that might be able to get 1080i video resolution on your TV.

Get dish network to work with hp SR5505F COMPAQ PRESARIO COMPUTER

You can not change channels on Satellite with your TV tuner card. The satellite box decodes the sat signal (it is sent encrypted) you can run S-Video/RCA/HDMI depending on the video card input, but you will be required to change the channel on the Dish box. The TV card can only change channels on broadcast (over the air) channels, you can attach an antenna and it will use the NTSC tuner to change analog channels (if they are still available) and the ATSC tuner to change digital/HD broadcast channels. This card (from your description can ONLY deal with broadcast TV, You will need a TV card with a QAM tuner for unscrambled digital cable. There is no solution for directly interfacing with Satellite on a PC or Mac (DirectTV or Dish) the signal from the satellite is encrypted and requires (at least for DirectTV, a fairly complicated decryption setup to function, this is handled by the tuner box/card combination. Sorry your setup will not support changing the channel on the PC, you may be able to find some kind of software that can utilize an IR transmitter to change the channels on your satellite box, similar to the way a Tivo or other DVR can talk to cable boxes, but that is the best you will be able to do as far as channel changing.

I have a Sylvania 42 inch Plasma HD TV. It is 3

Hello

Before taking this to a local repair person, I suggest you check with your cable provider. See if they are having trouble with their HD transmission and then have them test your lines. Out here in Arizona with have constant problems with HD due to heat, rodents and poor installations. Your DVR only recorded the problems that were on your set. If these prove fruitless then take the TV to a reputable repair person.

Are they HD compatible? We recently upgraded our cable on our 32 inch Sony Trinitron Wega tv (bought it in 2004) and got the dvr/HD package but get no HD channels...help??

These units are not HD sets. So if you want HD sorry to say you will need a different TV. If you can live without the HD these TVs have a great picture thats as close to HD as a regular set gets.

TV only will play HD Channels

This must be the setup for your TV box. Contact the support for your TV box.

Normaly, the TV should auto select the proper operation mode.
