Remote On/Off not working - Sensor Broken

Hey, maybe you should try reprogramming your universal and see if that works. Might want to try testing all the codes that work for LG and see if they'd work. If that doesn't work, find a site like www.remotecontrolhookup.com/lg/ and see if you can find your original and buy it and try it out. If that still doesn't work, send it back and you may need to find a local tv repair shop to look at your tv rf sensor.

My LG Plasma 42PC3D turns on and off repeatedly. I turn on my FIOS set top box first and than the TV and it turns on and off repeatedly (front bottom display goes red and green, red and green repeatedly)....

Your plasma TV has a power supply 6709900019A. These power supplies failed due to defective capacitors. See the picture below and check the capacitors mark with the red lines. There are 10 capacitors that should be replaced even if they do not show signs of bulging/swelling on top.
The value of the capacitors is 3300uF/10V but you can use 25 volts as long as they fit in the space provided by design.

LG Plasma 42pc3d turns on, pops, turns off

Its very likely that you need to have LG perform a sodtware upgrade on your unit. Contact LG and see if your tv is one of the applicable units with software upgrade issues, please let me know if it works. Good Luck.

My 42 inch LG plasma turns on and off repeatedly when I try to turn it on. happened a few times before when tv was working fine, now it wont turn on at all. I have to unplug tv to get it to stop turning on...

Theres a short between the start-up processor signal on the interface board and power supply. It keeps sending the same start-byte over and over again to the power board. This could also be a DC high voltage shutdown on the power board its self. Now the tv is in protection mode to prevent further damage. Get it serviced at your local repair center. If its under warranty take it back.
