How to... i was wonderin if you could tell me how to set up the text, photo, and videos on my coby mp3 video player.

Your MP3 Player does not support the .avi format so it will not play the A/V file.

Looks like it only plays .mtv files, so a converter may be needed before uploading video files to the 610.

The product description mentions "Plays music, video, photo, and text."
I take this to mean it will display text files that you load on to it.
No mention is made of any connectivity that would enable it to send text messages.

For the MP-C7085 you can use Coby Media Manager to get videos into the correct format to show on this player.

Coby Media Manager should be on the provided CD that came with the player.
Need help for a download of the manager ? Then put your text in this same help request.

I can help you with you Coby 610 mp3 player.

Replacing the firmware in your mp3 player will fix the file system error & have it working like new again.

You have to use the MTV Video Converter that is available on Coby's website - go to Support - downloads/documentation/etc - enter mp3 players - pm3 and mp4 players - then find your exact model # to get to the right video converter.

For pictures:

Turn on MP3 player, goto settings, make sure USB Mode is set to MSC.

Connect to Computer, go to start, > my computer > double click removable disk drive > in the removable disk drive, should be a folder labeled PHOTODIR, drag all your photos to this, they have to be JPEG.

For Videos:

Its a little more difficult, I've included the link for a setup guide, at the bottom of the guide is step by step on how to do the video conversion:

when u connect the coby i-pod to the laptop or coumputer a window will come on a screen then u will se photo in capital so click on photo and copy the the photo that u will like and then paste it in the photo folder this is same with video in video u it will be movies

• you just have to download them in videos off of limewire and when you put it on, enter it in the file VIDEO, not TEXT or the other ones
• then you just transfer the video to the MP3 player and it should take about 3 mintues or around there to get on to the MP3 player
• then you just watch it in the video catagorey.

Be sure that your player search in the right folder. For that, press the left arrow until you see MTPMEDIA, PHOTO, MOVIE and TEXT(may have the extension DIR after).Then, select MOVIE. You must find your videos after that.
