Sounds like you need to re-program the TV, see if there is a Tuner, or Channel options in the menu and run auto program. Also make sure the antenna is attached before trying this.

There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

This memory loss issue sounds like a problem with the main board inside the TV. The channel memory should not erase after a power cycle.

You are probably loosing other custom programming like your Display and Audio settings. That is if you had modified something in these menus.

You may want to check to see if this is also happening by making a change in like the Display menu, and then turn the unit off and back on.

The TV has a one year warranty on parts and labor.

The only thing I see in the Manual is to do an auto search which will scan all available channels and saves them to memory. the faxtory setting is auto search. the search allows you to manually search for available channels. in this mode, available channel must be stored individually. the program sets your favorite channel to appear when the tv is turned on. the range is from channel 0 - 255. i hope this helps.

• Green (Zoom): Enlarges or shrinks a channel number.
• Yellow (Select): Selects multiple channel lists.
• TOOLS (Option): Displays the Add(or Delete), Add to Favorite(or Delete from Favorite),
Timer Viewing, Channel Name Edit, and Auto Program menus..

Auto Program
The TV automatically cycles through all of the available channels and stores them in memory.
In rare cases, "Auto program" may miss a few channels due to weak signals and the channels may
not be added to the channel memory.

MENU → arrow up, arrow down→enter → arrow up, arrow down→enter →arrow up, arrow down →enter →arrow up, arrow down, arrow left , arrow right →enter → MENU,EXIT.

1. Did you try to call LG/Zenith customer support and see if they can help you? If not find your nearest LG/Zenith service center (not Best Buy) preferably a small service shop to see if they have a service remote to unlock it

Go into your setup menu and choose channel program or auto scan. The TV should look for and program active channels into its memory at this time. When it is finsihed you should be able to surf normally. Otherwise you should be able to access the channels directly by entering the channel number on the rmote control.
