This is a known issue with the model that you have listed. The repair kit is here: http://www.tvrepairkits.com/xcart/57h82/ You should be able to solder, the kit comes with diagrams, photos, parts and support.

Ur tv have convergence problems,it dead.Require 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors replaced on the convergence board.The shop will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

Hi,
This problem is of "CONVERGENCE". You have to replace the convergence IC's which is better to buy a new one TV, Just contact any expert and replace the convergence IC's and your TV work fine again you need not to buy a new TV.

There maybe some loose components on the circuit and that needs resoldering. Bring it to the repair shop to done.

Unplug the TV from the ac wall outlet for about 4 minutes then plug it back in and turn it on. If it still has a double image then tell me if it's affecting the menu screen from the TV (not the cable menu). And is the double image in red and blue?

Getting a yellow to blue double image on the items in the picture and when you change chanels the chanel information displayed on the screen is doubled. Was working fine 24 hours ago.

Convergance ic are bad.
there are some resisters that should be checked

You will need to change or have changed the two convergence correction amp IC's in this TV set. This is a very common problem with projection TV sets.
