Mitsubishi HC 900 DLP Projection Shutdown. Ok, after several hundred hours of use I finally replaced my bulb. Never did receive message stating bulb was nearing its 2000 hr life, but it started shutting down after 30 seconds of use so i just replaced it. Well the problem now is after the install of a new bulb and about 30 hours on it, I'm getting the same scenario. I know all about resetting the bulb timer via the manual, but in doing so there is no popup stating the timer has reset on the bulb or how many hours are currently on it. So to be honest I dont know if the unit accepted the reset command or not. But what I do know is I'm not planning on buying a new bulb every week. Im really beginning to supsect a different safety feature failure perhaps??
Honestly I would try entering the 'Lamp timer reset' code again. Or the button sequence given to reset the lamp timer.
An issue that may be happening is that something may have happened to the lamp ballast power supply also.
Just a thought.

I am having the same problem with mine. Although I did get the replace the bulb messages. I have always used on low power so I figured that it was not important to worry about the 2000 hour warning when the bulb should go 4000 on low. Anyway the machine just stopped today. I changed the bulb and reset the timer but it still won't work??? Any ideas?
