Diplomat Softline ADP0300 Gas-just not cooking ...anything!

Hi - inherited a Diplomat Softline ADP0300 Gas Oven & hob when we moved to our new home - again no manual - all was ok till half way through grilling today, (with door open)! - completely stopped working - gas cut off - no electrics & no ignition - Changed fuse in plug...no joy. Didn't trip electrics when it went off. Hobs working & fan. Could it have over-heated? Can it be reset? Help!...this is sounding costly already...any ideas???£££?

Hi there..
I Just recently had the same problem, also with a diplomat gas oven..
The problem I found was down to a small resetable component under the main cover. ..
It took me ages to find the problem and I had taken the whole electical parts of the oven to bits before 'accidentaly' coming across this 'thermal switch' (located inside the main cover, at the top, behind the display module).. - to reset this there is a tiny red button between the connectors.. press this - and it should all be fine again... : One importnat note is that this may be tripping as a consequence of the fan not running or by my thinking not running on after the oven is switched off, leaving the casing to heat up and then trip this switch component.. - if this component is faulty it can be found in RS components or Farnell components.. look for Thermal swich manual reset part no: L100C 9082 470.

Hi. I think I have the same problem. Don't wish to sound really stupid, but how do I find this reset switch? Do I need to unscrew anything?

    Thanks, Tom

  • Anonymous May 24, 2011

Yes Tom, you do need to slide the oven out (by opening the door and unscrewing the 4 screws at the side edges of the oven) and then unscrew the casing/cover on the top side to see at the switch.

yes the back of the clock and the switch is just inside the casing
make sure all electrics are off and be carefull with the wireing.
im a house wife and i done it with care you dont touch the gas
you only need to pull the oven out about 6 inches.
    hope that helps , Patsy

Thank you so much for your help... Just had same problem and fixed in 30 minutes following comments here... On our oven, you do have to take the white facia off as per katieconnor1 comments, you don't have to take off the dark casing. Remove the digital display and the switch is in between 2 connectors about 3 or 4 inches inside the empty space on top of the oven casing. You could reach the switch, it really is small, with a screwdriver. I got an electric shock..!!! So really do switch off at the mains..!!!

Hello. Thank you so much to mastertech. I was able to easily take the top panel off. Unclipped the display module and saw the red switch behind the metal panelling. Was a bit tricky to reach the button but it worked. Saved a lot of money thank you.

Hi guys,
I have a Diplomat Softline ADP0100 model, but would like to know the basics of how to use it.
On the left I have a set of buttons (for closed heating , open heating with (wave signal), stir heating, temp reduce/increase button) and on the right a single knob that can ignite and has a counter upto 10.
Unfortunately, there is not a single manual on the internet, so need some basic instructions..

thanks very much,
Rick

Diplomat Oven ADP3650 Instructions

User manuals are hard to find.
The problem I had was setting the clock on a single Diplomat oven, with no clock button. Here's my solution :

DIPLOMAT OVEN OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The Diplomat single oven is controlled by two knobs and a set of buttons along the middle of the control panel.
The left knob sets the temperature of the oven, while the right knob selects the function to be performed, e.g. fan oven, grill, etc.
The buttons along the middle set the cooker clock, the start and end times of cooking, and the “+” and “-“ buttons will increase or decrease the time shown on the cooker’s clock.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE OVEN WILL NOT OPERATE UNTIL THE CLOCK IS SET.
If there is any interruption to the power supply (including manually switching off at the main switch) the oven will not operate until the clock is reset.
Here’s how to set the clock:
First press simultaneously the first two buttons to the left of the control panel. They are marked as a Bell symbol (Alarm) , and a steaming Cooking Pot (Start of Cooking Time). Then immediately press the plus “+” or minus “-“ buttons to increase or decrease the time displayed. When the desired time has been reached, leave it for a few seconds, and it will remain set at this time. Any further changes to the displayed time will require this procedure to be repeated.
Hope this helps!
